The magic feels so integral to the characters and plot — I wonder whether it was inspired by existing mythologies or something entirely new.

Those moments added depth but also made me curious if they were necessary for the overall story or if they could have been trimmed.

The multiple viewpoints give a layered view of the world, but I wonder what led to the choice of whose stories to follow more closely.
