The detailed tapestry of the magical realm feels so vivid — I wonder if Clive Barker mapped it out beforehand or let it grow organically during writing.

The blend of dark, visceral horror with fantastical settings made for a tense reading experience. I'm curious if this mix was planned from the start or evolved as Barker wrote.

Switching between characters added depth but also complexity. Did others find it enriching or did it make the plot harder to follow at times?
