Tokyo Mew Mew has a playful tone but also tackles serious themes. I wonder what guided the pacing between these different moments.

The girls’ relationships seem to grow more complex, which made me more invested. Was this a conscious choice or did it evolve naturally?

The city feels alive and integral to the story. I’d love to know if the author drew from real Tokyo locations or created a fictional version.
