The Weapon Makers

The world-building feels both imaginative and cautionary. I'm curious whether van Vogt drew from contemporary fears or crafted this entirely from his own ideas.

The characters aren't simply good or evil, which made me question my own assumptions about right and wrong in the story's context.

The story's exploration of how technology can be used to manipulate society feels very relevant now. Did anyone else feel a sense of unease about where we're heading?
