The story feels so reminiscent of the classic Christie tone and pacing. I'm curious what inspired her to stay true to that voice while crafting her own narrative.

There was a lot of setup and introspection that made the story feel a bit sluggish at times. Do you think that was necessary to build suspense or could it have been tighter?

Both characters felt very true to the original stories, but I wonder if Sophie Hannah intentionally updated them for modern readers or kept them exactly as Christie did.
