The tension in the legal battles kept me on the edge of my seat, but I wondered if some of the courtroom drama was heightened for effect. Did others feel it added to or detracted from the realism?

The characters' questionable decisions made me think about how far people are willing to go for justice. I wonder what led the author to explore these complex shades of morality.
