Maguire's take on Oz adds layers of political intrigue and moral ambiguity. I wonder what motivated this fresh, mature perspective.

The characters seemed to carry more weight and complexity here. How did the author approach making familiar figures feel new and layered?

Listening to the story added a different dimension, but I’m curious if others felt it enhanced the world-building or if it was distracting.
