E.E. 'Doc' Smith's descriptions feel so energetic and detailed. I'm curious whether he drew from real science or let imagination run wild.

Some moments felt like they skipped steps, but maybe that's just the pulp style. Did the pacing work for others, or did it make the story feel uneven?

The tech descriptions are intense but never overwhelming. I wonder what guided the choice to include so much science without losing the sense of adventure.
