The tension between the characters felt so visceral and real, but I wonder if the college backdrop was chosen to heighten that rivalry or if it developed naturally during writing.

Their personalities are so flawed and intense, yet I couldn't help but be drawn to their chemistry. Did others find themselves empathizing with them or questioning their choices?

The story swings between raw passion and tender moments, which made me wonder how much of that was planned versus evolving during the writing process.
