Laura Ingalls Wilder's vivid descriptions make the farm feel so real, but I wonder what her sources were for these details.

The story brought back memories of my own childhood, but I also wondered how much of it was based on Wilder's personal experiences.

It’s fascinating how the book teaches about history and farming without feeling like a textbook. Did anyone else find it engaging or did it slow down at times?
