Cherryh's world-building is so immersive — I wonder what research or imagination went into creating these complex alien societies.

The constant deception had me questioning who to believe — I’d love to hear if others felt the same uncertainty and how it changed the reading experience.

The story kept me hooked but also gave space for character development — I’m curious if this was intentional or just how her writing naturally evolved.
