Cross Fire

The story moves so quickly, I wondered if the author planned the pacing from the start or let it evolve naturally during drafting.

Some characters' archetypes felt familiar, but I was still hooked. Would love to hear if others found the character development surprising.

The dialogue often carries the story forward, and I’m curious how much of that is a conscious choice to keep the story tight.
