I'm curious how the author balanced faith-based messages with the suspense elements. Did the story start with the mystery or the message in mind?

Some characters' motives felt layered, making it hard to tell who was truly trustworthy. Did others suspect any of them early on?

The pacing of revelations kept me hooked, but I'm wondering if this was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.
