The magic feels so integral to the world-building; I wonder if it was inspired by real-world mythologies or entirely fictional concepts.

Their actions are complex and sometimes questionable, which made me think about how power can corrupt even well-intentioned characters.

The relationship development feels natural but also urgent, and I'm curious whether that was part of the initial plan or evolved during writing.
