The setting feels so authentic and layered — I wonder if real history influenced her world-building or if it was all from imagination.

His decisions often seemed morally ambiguous, which made me question what I would do in his place. Would others see him as a hero or a heretic?

The complex power struggles added so many layers to the story. I’m curious how much of that was planned from the start versus evolving during writing.
