The vivid world-building really drew me in, but I wonder if the author based it on any particular myth or folklore. It feels so immersive!

Their journey to discern who’s genuine and who’s hiding something really resonated with me. Am I the only one who felt that way?

The story moved just fast enough to keep me hooked, but I wonder if the slower moments were intentional to build suspense or to deepen character development.
