The world-building around the alien species was fascinating but also complex. I wonder how much of that was planned versus developed during writing.

The relationship dynamics added emotional depth, but I’m curious if the author intended to explore more of the sci-fi politics or kept focus on the romance intentionally.

Some exchanges between characters made me chuckle, which felt a bit lighter amidst the intense world-building. Did others feel the tone shifted in those moments?
