The exotic getaway adds so much glamour and tension, but I wonder if it also reflects the characters' desire to escape their real lives. Was this setting a personal favorite of the author?

The sparks flew off the page, but I’m curious if that was a conscious decision to heighten the romance or if it just developed naturally in the writing.
