The details about the dragon societies and magic systems were incredible, but I wonder how much was planned out versus developed as the story progressed.

The mage's inner conflict added so much depth to the story, making me think about how much of our own choices shape us. Was this a deliberate theme or something that emerged during writing?

The lighthearted touches kept the story engaging without undermining the stakes. Did the author intend to balance dark and funny elements intentionally?
