The vivid world-building really drew me in, but I'm curious whether the author envisioned this universe from the start or developed it as they wrote.

Her decisions felt so morally complex, which made me wonder how much of that was planned or if it evolved naturally through the story.

The mix of passion and danger was so compelling, but I wonder what guided the pacing of those moments to keep the tension high.
