The tense, suspenseful mood really immerses the reader. I'm curious if the setting was based on a real place or purely fictional.

The story moved so fast towards the end that I almost missed some of the clues. Was this intentional to heighten tension or a writing choice?

The characters' secrets and lies kept me guessing. I'm wondering if the author planned all these twists from the start or discovered them during writing.
