The magic feels so well-developed and unique. I'm curious what inspired the rules and limits of this world’s magic.

There was a lot of world-building and character development, but I found myself eager for more action. Was this a deliberate choice?

It gave a broader view of the world, but at times I wondered if it diluted the main plot. How do others feel about multiple perspectives in epic fantasy?
