The combination feels fresh and intense, but I'm curious whether this mashup was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.

There were some slow moments that made me wonder if they were necessary for world-building or if they could have been tightened.

The magic system feels very deliberate and detailed—I'm interested in what inspired its development and how it connects to the zombies aspect.
