The tension dipped a bit around the midpoint, but then picked up again. Was that intentional to build suspense or just how the story unfolded?

It made the story more unpredictable, but I also found myself questioning what I believed about them. Did it enhance the mystery or cause confusion?

The sense of being trapped was palpable, and I wonder if the setting was based on a real location or purely fictional. It really added to the tension.
