The setting feels so vivid and atmospheric — I wonder if the author based it on a real place or created it entirely from imagination.

I loved the tension, but at times I wanted a bit more time to breathe. Was this fast pace a deliberate choice to heighten suspense?

The story kept surprising me, especially with the timing of certain revelations. I'm curious whether this was plotted out or came together during writing.
