The rich history and landscape really come alive in this novel. I'm curious if the setting was based on specific legends or personal interests.

The characters’ choices often seemed to walk a fine line between duty and passion, which made me wonder how much of that conflict was drawn from real medieval dilemmas.

The pacing felt natural, but I wonder if the emphasis on romantic moments over battles was a conscious choice to highlight character relationships.
