The story seemed to take a slight lull before picking up again. Was that an intentional choice to build tension or just my reading experience?

The setting feels so vivid and lived-in — I’d love to know if real locations influenced the world-building or if it’s purely fictional.

The multiple viewpoints added layers to the mystery, but I’m curious whether this was planned from the start or evolved during writing.
