The circus atmosphere is so vivid and eerie — I wonder if the author drew from real circuses or created it entirely from imagination.

The vampires in the story are so complex; I kept questioning who the real monsters were. Would love to hear others' thoughts!

The relationships feel really genuine, but also tested by dark circumstances. Did anyone find their feelings about certain characters changing?
