Marissa Meyer’s twist on familiar stories always brings fresh surprises. I wonder what motivated her to choose this particular tale and setting.

The pacing kept me guessing but also made me curious about whether the slow reveal was intentional to build tension or if it could have been tighter.

Sometimes the romantic scenes felt like they added depth, but I’m curious if others felt the mystery overshadowed the relationship or complemented it.
