The fae in this story are neither entirely good nor evil, which adds a lot of complexity. I'm curious what inspired the choice to make them so morally gray.

The descriptions of the fae realm and politics were fascinating but also made the story feel a bit slow at times. Was that intentional to build atmosphere?
