The villain's character feels disturbingly realistic — I wonder how much research or personal insight went into crafting this psyche.

The story seemed to take its time before the action really kicked in. Was this intentional to deepen the suspense or just a pacing choice?

The medical descriptions feel authentic without overwhelming the story. I’d love to hear if that was a tricky line to walk during writing.
