The vivid portrayal of Cork and its underbelly gives the story a real sense of place. I'm curious whether the setting was drawn from personal experience or research.

The characters are so flawed and sympathetic at the same time, which made me question the line between right and wrong in their world. How did others perceive their morality?

Switching between characters adds depth but also complexity. I wonder if this was planned from the start or developed during the writing process.
