The setting feels so visceral and oppressive — I wonder if it was based on real places or entirely imagined. How did the author craft such a convincing world?

The focus on psychological survival added so much depth, but it also made me wonder how much of the story is about internal battles versus the dystopian environment.

The blending of terrifying scenarios with fantastical elements kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm curious whether this was a deliberate choice to heighten the suspense.
