The atmospheric setting adds a layer of mystique and history. I'm curious whether the author drew from real locations or created it from imagination.

The story's tension was high at first but seemed to ease for a bit in the middle. Was that intentional to build anticipation or just how the story evolved?

The exploration of faith and power felt central to the plot. Did the characters' beliefs seem authentic or were they exaggerated for effect?
