The way trust unraveled so quickly made me uneasy but also hooked me. Did the author intentionally make us question every motive?

The isolated environment added so much to the suspense, but I wonder if it was inspired by real places or just a storytelling choice.

There were so many twists I didn't see coming. I'm curious whether this was planned from the start or if the plot evolved during writing.
