The shifting viewpoints kept the suspense high but also made me wonder how much planning went into each character's arc. Was this structure planned from the beginning or developed during writing?

I appreciated the detailed character development, but at times I felt the story drag a bit. Do you think this was necessary for the emotional payoff?
