Blyton’s vivid details really bring the school to life. I wonder if she based it on a real place or if it was entirely imagined.

The camaraderie and rivalries feel authentic, but I’m curious how much of that was intentional to teach moral lessons.

They seem to be at the heart of the stories, shaping the characters’ growth. Did she see these as the most important lessons for middle graders?
