The narrator’s unreliable perspective really pulls you in but also makes me wonder how much of his experience was based on real events versus perception. I’d love to hear what inspired Chuck Palahniuk to craft this complex psyche.

The book challenges notions of masculinity and societal rebellion, but I kept questioning whether the narrator’s choices are admirable or dangerous. Was I the only one feeling uneasy about his descent?

The dark humor and exaggeration really drive home the critique, but I wonder if it also risks undermining the seriousness of its themes. What do others think about the balance Palahniuk strikes here?
