The dragons in Dragondrums feel so vivid and distinct. I wonder if the author based them on specific myths or created them from scratch.

Those moments added depth but also made the story feel slower. Was that intentional to build character, or just a natural part of the story?

The world-building is so immersive — I’d love to hear what inspired the creation of Pern and its history.
