Den of Monsters

The detailed description of the monsters and their society made me wonder how much of it was inspired by folklore or entirely imagined. Did anyone else find themselves immersed in this dark, hidden world?

The romance felt intense and central to the story, but I was curious whether the author intentionally wanted to challenge typical monster tropes or create something unique.
