The aliens feel both formidable and strangely plausible. I wonder if Hubbard drew from existing mythologies or created them entirely from scratch.

The details about the post-apocalyptic Earth and the societal collapse felt vivid, but I’m curious how much was planned versus evolving during writing.

Some scenes felt slow but necessary for buildup, while others were frantic. Did the pacing enhance or detract from the suspense for others?
