Dean Koontz is known for blending horror with the paranormal, but I'm curious what inspired the specific ghostly themes and motifs in this story.

The tension ramped up so fast in some parts that I barely had time to breathe. Was that a deliberate pacing choice or just how the story unfolded for you?

I loved how the characters evolved, but at times I wondered if the plot took priority over their personal arcs. What did others think about the balance?
