The setting feels so rich and lived-in — I wonder if the author mapped out the entire world beforehand or if it evolved during writing.

I loved the character development but found those parts a bit dense. Was that intentional to build tension or just how the story unfolded?

Their struggles with accepting or fighting their fate added so much depth — what do others think this says about agency in the story?
