Cornwell's detailed descriptions really drew me into the story's gritty world. I'm curious if she based it on real locations or crafted it entirely from imagination.

Some decisions seemed justified, others questionable — it made me wonder how much moral ambiguity the author intended to explore.

The pacing kept me on edge, but I’d love to know if she planned the suspense arcs beforehand or let the story unfold naturally during writing.
