The way the book weaves multiple characters' perspectives kept me hooked, but I'm curious whether this was planned from the start or developed during writing.

The characters' actions often blurred the lines between right and wrong, which made me question what I would do in their place. Was that intentional?

The historical backdrop added so much tension, but I wonder if Littell drew from personal experiences or extensive research to craft this setting.
