Three Dark Crowns

Their rivalry is so intense and layered that I kept wondering if I was supposed to sympathize with all of them equally. Did others feel the same tension in choosing sides?

The way their abilities are intertwined with their identities adds so much depth. I wonder how much of that was planned from the start versus developed during writing.

The multiple viewpoints kept me guessing but also made me work to keep track of everyone’s motives. Was this structure chosen to heighten tension intentionally?
