The fae characters feel morally ambiguous and layered. I wonder what inspired the choice to make them neither entirely good nor evil.

The detailed descriptions made me almost believe in the existence of this secret magical world within our own. Was this level of detail planned from the start?

The dark tone really added to the tension, but I’m curious whether the setting was inspired by real places or purely imaginary.
