The pacing keeps me on the edge of my seat, but I also cared about the kids' relationships. I'm curious how much of that was planned from the start or if it evolved during writing.

The way the characters interacted felt authentic, especially under extreme stress. Did the author draw from personal experiences or observations for these relationships?

It’s such a compelling choice—familiar yet eerily deserted. Wondering whether this came from a specific place or was a spontaneous idea during plotting.
