The holiday atmosphere adds a magical layer to the story, but I'm curious whether it was chosen for its symbolism or historical significance.

I loved the chemistry, but at times it felt like the romance took a backseat to the intrigue. Was that intentional or just my impression?

The setting feels so authentic, and I wonder whether extensive research was involved or if it developed naturally during writing.
