The explosive history and natural wonder of Krakatoa make it an exciting backdrop, but I wonder what drew the author to choose this location for Les 39 clés.

The story kept me on the edge of my seat without losing sight of the characters’ friendships. I’m curious if others felt the same or if it felt uneven at times.
